COLUMN OZONE

Site Time Series Graph
Area Weighted Average of 1o x 1o Data
Over 10o by 10o site at ( -105, 85)

This graph shows the variation over time of COLUMN OZONE at the site specified. In general, each image displays three graphs:

BLACK: SITE DATA
Site data from the 10o by 10o site.
RED: SITE MULTI-YEAR AVERAGE
Site data averaged over all years of the data collection to determine the typical data values at the site during each month of the year.
BLUE LINEAR TREND LINE
Displays a straight line fit to the site data shown in black. The slope of the line (displayed at the bottom of the graph give the yearly, overall parameter variation and estimates the magnitude of long term trends.

Site Single Year Data
SiteData - TrendLine

Area Weighted Average of 1o x 1o Data
Over 10o by 10o site at ( -105, 85)

In this graph, the horizontal axis encompasses just a single 12 month span and all site data - from all years - has been overlayed to allow for easier year-to-year comparisons. It is very important to understand that the graph displays the data relative to the the linear trend line: AFTER THE LINEAR TREND LINE is subtracted from the site data This subtraction was made to bring all each year of data to the same level and allow for easy comparison of time values and variations. If this trend is not subtracted, the yearly datasets could not be easily compared.

Site Anomaly Time Series Graph
Over 10o by 10o site at ( -105, 85)

This graph shows the variation over time of the anomaly in COLUMN OZONE within the site specified. The anomaly is the month-by-month difference between the site data and the site multi-year average data. The anomaly shows which years were most unusual in the recorded history of the site. In general, each image displays two graphs:

BLACK: SITE ANOMALY
The graph shows the difference between site data and the multiyear average site data.
RED: ZONE ANOMALY
The graph shows the difference between all data in the same latitudinal zone as the site and the multiyear average of the zone data.

Zone Time Series Graph
Area Weighted Average of 1o x 1o Data
Over 360o by 10o zone at Latitude 85

This graph shows the variation over time of COLUMN OZONE in the latitudinal zone specified. In general, each image displays three graphs:

BLACK: ZONE DATA
Zone data from the 360o by 10o site. region at the same latitude as the data site.
RED: ZONE MULTI-YEAR AVERAGE
Zone data averaged over all years of the data collection to determine the typical data values at the site during each month of the year.
BLUE LINEAR TREND LINE
Displays a straight line fit to the zone data shown in black. The slope of the line (displayed at the bottom of the graph give the yearly, overall parameter variation and estimates the magnitude of long term trends.

Site Contour Plot
Area Weighted Average of 1o x 1o Data
Over 360o by 10o zone at Latitude 85

This graph shows the variation over time of COLUMN OZONE in the latitudinal zone specified.
