Paraguay to the southeast, Argentina to the south, Chile to the
southwest, and Peru to
the northwest.

What impact does this have on a country's
economy?
Landlocked means bordered by land on all sides. Bolivia sits to the
east of the Andes, in the west-central part of the South American
continent.
To prosper, an economy needs convenient ways to transport goods and
products to market. This is why most major cities are located in
coastal areas.

The official capital is Sucre (seat of the
